Is the JV-880 still worth it?

I can buy a JV-880 module for a few hundred $. Is this machine still worth it?

I want a sound module that I can use to play around with together with my digital piano. And to use it for playing along with on my saxophone. What I need is a good collection of general sounds (GM stuff). And together with my piano playing I am mainly looking for strings/pads.
Number of patches is not the most import, but quality is.

The JV880 is still a great value. I've seen some of them go for as little as $150! It's sexy and sleek looking. The only problem is no GM - I say it's a problem because you want GM.

There is a psuedo GM mode that can be created if you buy a Data Card and create two 64 patch banks that utilizes GM sounds, but still, no real GM. The sounds are great. Polyphony runs out fast [4 Tones at 28 Note Polyphony]. Some would even argue that the JV I line (JV80/880/90/1000) sounds better than the JVII line (JV1010,1080/2080, XP 30/50/60/80).
