XP-80/60 differences HELP! - 02/16/01 01:34 AM
I was at a music store recently and the salesman told me that there is no difference between the xp-60 and the xp-80 other than the number of keys. But, I read the item descriptions at a couple of on-line music stores that said otherwise. Are there any differnences I should be aware of before I choose?

Hi Jenny23,
There is absolutely no difference apart from the number of keys. Even the user manuals are identical - Roland state clearly that they are the same product apart from keyboard size.
See the similar query by jadugar a few threads below this one!
All the best,
Martin

Excuse me for buttin' in...........
I don't have any XP syn's but I read their spec in some web site saids that the XP-80 has more output than the Xp-60's.. I believe Xp-80 has 2 more outputs.

Hi Keyman,
I really don't think so.... and Roland really don't think so (for what that's worth!)
But then I've never actually sat the two side by side and compared inputs.
Pretty sure that they really and truly are the same though....

Hi Martin,
Your information about the output is correct. Yes, both keyboards has 4 output (2 stereo outs and 2 direct outs). Thanks for point out.
