JV-90 volume problem - 06/28/06 10:40 AM
Can someone please help? Our JV-90 at church is having a volume problem. The volume sounds really low even when the volume know is turned all the way up. Can someone please tell me what is wrong and what part needs to be replaced?
Thanks
patricia
Has it suddenly gone low, or has it always been low?
Does the volume control have any effect?
Is anything, or has anything been plugged into the volume or expression pedal inputs?

THe volume has suddenyl gone low. The kb is plugged into the sound system in our church sanctuary. It is plugged in correctly. Nothing has been plugged in wrong at any time to my knowledge.
Thanks

Pat it is possible a patch cord was plugged in accidentally to the EV5 jack[although unlikely]..
Did you check the patch cords[maybe a bad cord]?
Did you try another input on the mixer?
Is it possible , you are plugging into an insert..?
Did you try to plug into another amp?[process of elimination..}..

Everything appears to be fine. Amp is working properly. We double checked everything. What about internally on the kb?
Thanks
Does the volume control have any effect?
Has anything been MIDI'ed to it, or have any MIDI files been played on it?
The only other suggestion I can offer is a reset:
Power on while holding down the NUMBER 8 button (also labelled PERFORM and CAPS), press ENTER then press WRITE.

Not sure. After the kb sat unplugged for about a weeek, We replugged everything back in and it worked. Hopefully not a temporary fix.
