Juno2/PG-300 woes (Please Help).

I just got a PG-300 for my ALpha Juno 2 and tried to start tweaking with all those beautiful sliders, but to no avail. I pushed the "manual" button to give full control to the PG-300 and both machines were switched to the same MIDI channel but nothing happened. If anyone out there has experience with this setup, please give me some advice?

ok step by step ok??
1. plug midi in on the j2 to out on the pg300
2.turn the juno on first then the pg 300
3. make sure midi exclusive is set to on (on the j2)
that should do it .........um I'll just plug mine in an check .....i assume you know about the way to change the midi channel of the pg 300???? if not email me
