Urgent Roland R-8 question

Hey Guys,

I just purchased a 2nd hand R-8 MK2 drum machine. However, the instruction manual I got is missing some pages. My question is:

In pattern mode, how do you increase the number of bars to anything other than 1?
At the moment I am stuck with making patterns of no more than 1 bar which is driving me insaaaane Somebody please help me.

Go to step mode.
Choose the pattern number you want to use.
Press [SHIFT] AND [CLEAR=KEPAD 14] at the same time, and you can choose and edit the
patternsetting. (it starts with Bar01)
