Can a Juno-106 play back notes with velocity via MIDI input? Mine won't!!! :( - 12/01/00 01:01 AM

I don't know if my Juno is bad or what but I've put together a bunch of arpeggiating notes in Cakewalk and each note has different velocity values but when played back through my Juno I can't hear the different velocities... They're all the same volume. >:[ It doesn't make sense that it wouldn't be able to play velocities since it's a very popular synth among the techno field.

Note: I have the Function switch set on III

Thanks for any help!

I remember the rack mount (MKS-7) DID respond to velocity, as did the later series @Juno1 and @Juno2 but I don't think the 106 did. That synth was introduced in midi's infancy and I am not surprised. Do you have the Midi implemetation chart at the back page of the owners manual? That will tell you for sure. Got the book handy, anyone????

Sorry.....

Bringer of bad news.....

106's are not velocity sensitive.
Still a bloody good synth!

Sorry , the JUNO-106 can't send or receive velocity information . It's a cool sounding synthesizer , but it was ROLAND'S bottom of the line polyphonic synthesizer in 1984 .
