Roland D-50 sound card batteries

I have a Roland D-50 and recently it informs me that two of my sound cards are "illegal cards". I called a local Roland retailer and they suggested that the reason may be their batteries are dead and need replaced. The store I called does not carry this item. Do you know where I can get these batteries and if indeed this might be the cause of the error message. Thanks to all in advance
