DR-5 Question - 12/30/98 05:26 PM

How many patterns can be used per track per song on the DR-5? For example: If I wanted to create a drum line that changed to 10 different patterns in one song would I be able to?

Is the DR-660 any different in this respect?

Also, is it possible to layer tones on one track so that it is possible to create patterns more complicated than are possible using just your hands in one take?

Thanks in advance.

I think the limit of *different* parts is just those available.

Look in the UTILS menu to see how the song and part space is decreasing as you program it up.

Yo, Otto, you can make as many patterns as you want per song. You just have to create a new pattern and link them together. Also, you can layer tones on one track, just hit the octave arrow on the bottom of the DR, and continue to jam. It's going to take more than one take, but you'll get the layered effect you wanted.
