Concertmate MG-1 info?

Hello! I stumbled across an MG-1 at a local pawn shop, and was wondering if anyone could give me some info about it... how it sounds, durability, etc. I haven't really been able to find more than basic info about this synth online.

A couple of sites have mentioned some sort of black jelly-like insulation needing to be removed... info about that would be appreciated as well. Does it cause major problems?

The only thing I can tell you is the MG-1 is almost identical to the Rogue except it has the possibility to be polyphonic.

As for sound I had a Rogue a while back and really liked it. It had great bass sounds.
