How Do I get Unisyn to work with Wavestation SR?

Whenever I try to "get" a ROM or other patch or performance with Unisyn, it always gets the first patch of the first bank and writes that into the buffer. How do you get the patch that you have selected on the Wavestation? PLease help! Thanks.
