Question about the Host format of the Triton

I have ordered a Triton, I will get it late june/early july, I only have the doc catalogue of this monster, and I don't understand what is the Host format cable. It is written in the catalogue that we can connect a triton with a Mac or a PC, but what is it for a kind of cable or format, "To Host" ?

Can you explain me what is it ?

Host connector is a cable labled AG-001AorB in the manual. It basically allows you to play and control the TRITON from your computer however after installing the MIDI Driver.
I don't operate my unit in this way however it seems that the cable comes with the software that you purchase- compatible for either IBM PC or Mac. Both have relevant connector profiles for both computers.

The AG-001 (or 001A or 001B) are IBM serial connection cables. The 'TO HOST' port allows you to directly interfact the Triton with your PC without using a sound card or other MIDI interface. The AG-002 cable is for Mac.

Both the AG-001 and AG-002 cables are optional. The AG-001A and B are cables custom made by a few different countries' Korg distributors, since the cables that Japan is selling are VERY expensive. These custom cables work in exactly the same way.

If you have a PC and are going to use your sound card to connect the two together (using the GAME/MIDI port), you don't need this cable.
