Korg Triton

Have been reading everyones Q's about the Triton.
Have just purchased the Pro in Japan so would be happy to answer anyone's questions.
However the glitch here is Japan currently doesn't have any English manuals in stock.
Can anyone help me out here??
Midi implementation manual available separately?

I'm from Ireland and will have to wait till Christmas for my one.

I have just 3 questions that I hope you can answer for me.

Q1: Does the Triton load Trinity PCG/SNG files. ?

Q2: Who many notes is the sequencer. ? Korg.com's website is all over the place on this one. One minute they say it has a 300,000 note seq. But when you read to the ned of the page they then say it has a 200,00 note seq.

Q3: Did Korg drop all Hard Disk Recording on the Triton.

Q1. Manual reads: When a Korg format file saved on the Trinity is loaded into the Triton, * compressed sample files cannot be loaded, * multisamples that use internal samples of the Trinity will be assigned identically-numbered RAM samples.
Q2. 200,000 events maximum, 200 songs, and as many as 999 measures per song.
Q3. External hard drive can be attached via optional SCII port.

I'm looking forward to seeing a Triton for myself. I would safely say that I
will end up buying one, but I don't know if I will part with my Trinity. In
every way the Triton seems to be better than the Trinity, but I cant figure
out why Korg dropped the 4 Track Harddisk Recording feature when making the
Triton. This seems to be its only downfall, I thought Korg would have
expanded on this....Like maybe 16 track H/D Recording. Who knows.

Hello I have an english Guide of the Triton
but I search a german!!!
And i also have a problem!!
I stear the 01/W with the Triton
Midi Channel: Triton = 1, 01/W = 2
And always If I must play on the Triton
the Sound of the 01W if I played the Trion does not accect the Keyzone from ext. is that right or do I make a mistake??

I was at a Triton training seminar on Monday (June 7th). There, we were instructed by Steve McNalley, one of the people responsible for programming the Triton's sounds.

He said the Hard Disk recording option was dropped from the Triton in favour of actual sampling (many of my customers have asked the same thing). People who want to do hard disk audio recording will almost always end up integrating the keyboard with a computer. The development of HDR software has far outstripped the ability to include it a keyboard, especially one that may be on the market for 3 or 4 years.

The Triton will load in Trinity PCG files.

The sound is fantastic. Much warmer than the Trinity, and the added polyphony is a godsend.

P.S. Regarding that weird polyphony (62 note), there are actually 64 oscillators, but 2 notes are reserved for re-sampling, hence the 62.

- I tried the Triton today. It's so much better than the Trinity. If it only had the Hard disk recording, and a better case. It's all plastic, you drop it and it's history.

I have just today been promised by the danish Korg distributor, that the error in the MIDI implementation of keyzones in Korg Triton will be fixed in august. I guess we can find the update on http://www.korg.co.jp/support/index.html when the time comes.

Everybody else I read on this subject says you can't. Are you able to load the PCG's directly or through compatibility software?
