Hello.

got a new korg xd5 set up with midigraphy, and mac lc 475. got oms installed. downloaded SysEx 402 and oms sysex sender 11. anyone know what i do know, am i still able to use teh sound editor i got with teh keyboard. if not are there new ones? i just want information about what sysex does/is. UNCOMPLICATED please.

Sysex is messages that are send back and forth from the keyboard and the computer to edit the sounds in the keyboard or store edited sound in the computer.

The editor that came with the X5D does not support OMS, so make sure that OMS is set up to allow other MIDI applications to access the MIDI port.

If you just want to do basic sequencing, sysex is not important.

SysEx also enables complete communication between same (sometimes similar) devices. i.e. you can transfer all settings, programs, sequences, etc., from one Trinity into another Trinity. In other words, the system information is exclusive to a Trinity.
