thinking of buying a n5ex and wanted to know what you thought.what else should i consider,and is this a great keyboard or does it bite. thanks

... vs. a Roland XP-30. Don't get me wrong, I own a Korg 05R/W... and I have never used a XP-30, but the reviews do not lie. I have owned a Roland D-20 and Juno-106, they never failed and the XP-30 has a TON of sounds in it, best of luck!

Also, if you're a computer user, check out the Alesis line. The QS6.1 is inexpensive & pretty stout, despite the company's annoying tendency to use stingy displays.
QS6's are going cheap now, not at all a bad deal if it includes all the discs.
Their synths come with librarian and SoundBridge software, the latter allowing you to import samples and use them as you would any other patch. This sweetens the deal considerably and they DO sound pretty danged good.
Thumbs-up for the XP30, too. Just FYI.
