01w/fd: What's a fair price? - 07/16/01 09:18 AM

6-7 years ago, I purchased a Korg 01w/fd for around 1600. A few months later, I sold it to a friend for 1300. Now, 6-7 years later, I bumped into him and he said it is just collecting dust. I want to purchase it back. What do you think a fair price would be. At this point, I can't remember which size it is. Seems to me it was not the biggest number of keys, nor the smallest. It does not have the pedals or speakers.

Well, an O1/Wfd is 61 keys, with the O1/W Pro at 76 keys and the O1/W Pro X at 88 weighted keys (the other two are synth keys).

I sold my O1/Wfd for $1000 in March or April 1999 (which was a fair price back then). You can check internet sites for what's reasonable to the market, but I'd probably offer him $500 - $600 (the technology is 10 years old or so) and work my way up from there (if you need to haggle).

Peace.

I Just bought one off E-bay. that is like BRAND NEW! I paid $550. Only part about it that is disapointing is that it is at ROM Version 24 and is unable to read .mid files from floppy. Once i get the free upgraded rom done, to Ver. 62. That minor problem is solved...

Good luck
