Any further updates for the Promega3?

Does anyone know if GEM are working on an OS update for the Promega3? I have 1.05 (I think).

Hello Mark,

1.05 is the latest O.S. version for the Promega 3. I am sure there will be another update however I do not have a timeframe on it at this point. Check the website from time to time for announcements of product updates.

Dave - thanks for the news. Still 1.05 then.

I ask because a long time ago I sent some files to GeneralMusic which demonstrated a sustain pedal bug with the Fazioli piano. These files were MIDI and MP3 and I provided a fairly accurate summary of how to reproduce and the limits of the bug.

Since then I haven't heard anything. I don't expect a personal e-mail but I thought given the status of the Promega3, it might have been fixed by now. I'm certainly curious as to whether the bug has been acknowledged and whether it is due for fixing.

We are aware of this issue, and are working on correcting the problem, I am sure there will be a new O.S. that will fix this known issue. The delay has been because we are working on some other improvements to include in the O.S. release. Once the new O.S. comes out, if you send me an email, I will send you an email once the new O.S. is available for download or shipment.

Unfortunately, I find www.generalmusic.com almost impossible to use and far too slow with all that flash overload so I don't keep up with news. You really need a non-flash site which is clear and simple to use.

There is the www.generalmusic.us website that doesn't have a lot of flash on it, although you will need java installed on your PC.
