OS for 1. edition Genesys - 11/24/05 12:57 PM

Hi Genesys owners and dealers,

I have learned from the homepage of General music Italy that a new OS is available for the first edition....but have doubts concerning what models it is designed for.
I am puzzled by the following statement:
WARNING!!! For Genesys/Genesys Pro users (not ''S'' versions):
The update 1.01 is available only for Genesys/Genesys Pro ''standard'' with the optional GENESYS HD UPGRADE KIT installed (code 970466).

I have the Genesys with a 1,34 GB hard disc.
This was how it came directly.
Can I use the mentioned update???

Best regards

Maybe I was a little ahead.
Read this later in the text:

GENESYS HD UPGRADE KIT (FOR GENESYS/ GENESYS PRO)
This kit allows Genesys and Genesys Pro models (not "S" versions) to use a 20GB 2,5’’ IDE hard disk (included in the kit). This will increase the storage capability for MIDI and audio datas, allowing superior quality performance in all operating situations.

WARNING! The installation of this kit has to be executed by Generalmusic authorized service centre only!

Kit contents:

20GB IDE 2,5'' Hard Disk
OTP memory module
Operating system CD Rom

Now I need to contact my local dealer to get this!

Is this kit will upgrade the Genesys to the Genesys S? or it need totally main board change?
