Question re: Genesys operating function - 01/06/05 06:36 AM

While playing an on board arranger style(Ex: 16 beat pop) can one simultaneously load single song(midifiles)from either floppy disk or the hard drive? I.E. Does the arranger section keep playing while loading or does it stop while loading songs/midifiles?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Yes, MIDI files/GEM Songs can be loaded from Disk (HD, FD or CD) into RAM while a style is in play.

Then to play a song, you simply press the Song Select button, choose RAM as source, and then highlight the song you wish to play.

You do realize that songs can playback direct from the hard drive, floppy disk and/or CD so there is no need to load a song into RAM unless you want to perform edits to the song.

Best Regards,

Dave
