WK8 buttons

just wondering how durable the Group and edit buttons are ?, I have had similar on other keyboards and they wore off after no time,if they are prone to ware what has anyone done apart from paint with nail varnish, this is not a problem with my trusty old WX2 which has done over 1250 gigs as all hard buttons
