Can someone explain the difference in D-ram
(& why an 8meg add on required) and the other
ram that can be expanded to 32meg.
Also if the simms memory are only 4 meg
strips could 8 and 16 strips be used to increase further if needed.

The difference is one is battery-backed so you will not lose the content after you turn off the computer and unplug the power chord. This is very important and very convenient. To me all memory should be like that. 8megs upgrade is very important because the standard 2megs that the keyboard came with is not sufficient to work on the keyboard. The other volatile memory is worthless in my opinion.
