keys with sequencer - 02/19/02 07:39 PM

What are some of the better keyboards with sequencers? A keyboard with good roms and can handle the task of running one or two midi modules. Is there such a keyboard that can function as the center of a midi setup??
thanks.

There are soooo many choices. You need to narrow down a few areas first. Start with price, number of keys and most important features needed. Then we'll advise better.

Well for starters, hip hop and rnb will be the main production. Something with 61 or 76keys, no sampler needed. Expandability!!!
Sound editing, effects, and last but not least something $2000 or less.

Whew - still, lots of choices.
Look into the Roland Fantom - $1700(on sale) great sound, action, arpeggiators, disk drive, 76 keys - super board. takes exp cards too.
I'm not much good with hip-hop, but the Triton has been a fav with those cats since it came out. Time to play one, don't you think ? Try the Fantom too, and the Korg Karma. They are all in your price range.

Hello 411 seeker !
Hip hop , R + B ???? WHich keyboard ?
The fact that you do not need a sampler saves you money . The Triton LE from Korg would be a option . 61keys = $1299.99
All the Triton sounds and sequencer . Check one out !
ORRRRR Motif from Yamaha ! Sampling ?
YES ! Nice drums . 61keys= $1699.99
or lower !
Fanthom ? If you get it the right price it is worth considering . Only available with 76 keys .
I would give the edge to Korg right now !
