problem with soundcard

Hi there, I have the following problem:
my midi keyboard, connected through a MIDI adapter with my computer, gives sound with a slightly delay of a few miliseconds. I have tried averything but without result. Who can help me out?

Nobody will answer you because....
There are no details!
Please edit post with details of;
1. pc system (speed/ram)
2. soundcard (brand/model)
3. software used (which midi sequencer)

As Fred has said in his previous post, please provide more information; we are eager to help but we need more information. If I have to make a wild guess, this might be the latency problem and what you can do about is basically dependent on what pc, what sound card and what software sequencer you are using.
