Keyboard Advice - 09/22/04 11:30 AM

Hi everyone,

I've just joined the forum today!

At the moment I use an SY22 synth and TG77 module to compose various styles of music mainly for my own enjoyment.

I'm going to devote more time to my music and I want to update my kit.

I am thinking of a workstation, I need alot of varied and high quality sounds.

I have my eyes on the Korg Triton Extreme but would you have any other suggestions I could think about?

Thanks,

John.

I just saw your post, and saw that no one answered it, so I thought I'd say "Hi," and welcome.

Most of the action here seems to be in the Arr kb forum.

For workstations, many swear by the new Yamaha Motif ES6 or 7, and some say Kurzweil is a cut above all competitors. I wouldn't know. It's ultimately so subjective.

Also the argument can be made that the on board sounds of the arranger kbs are getting better to the point where you don't really need a workstation per se. It depends on whether you want to do any serious sonic editing.

Cheers,
Michael
