Roland KC-300 With A Mixer

I'm struggling with my Roland KC-300 Amp. I want to take the output from a mixer (I'm using the Event EZBus) straight to the amp. The sound quality is awful - lots of high-pitched staticcy noise.

How can I use these two devices together? thanks.
