Midiman Oxygen & Retro AS-1 Help??

I'm in need of help setting up my Midiman Oxygen USB midi Keyboard/Controller. It has 8 knobs you can set up to control whatever you want like LFO's, filters, resonance, modulation, etc.... I'm totally lost in trying to set it up, and use it to control different parameters in Retro AS-1 Synth program. Does each knob have to get a different Midi channel? What about setting up Continuous Controller numbers. I'm really lost.
Please help!

You assign the knobs to CC's, not (just) MIDI-channels. I suppose you have to assign the parameters in your synth to a specific CC too, unless they already are.

This is how it works on the Nord Modular. The easy part within the Nord is that you can select 'knob1' and then CC no 3 for example in the menus.
