SD1 or the PSR9000? - 07/20/02 09:51 PM

I am looking for an arranger which has the best European styles. In particular I need the best "Schlager" style. I know in Germany they use alot of SD1's and PSR9000's. I generaly do not buy 1.0 of anything (TYROS). I like to wait till the bugs are out and the next revisions are in place. The only glitch is my audience here in Las Vegas also want to here other styles like rock, disco, country, swing, etc... Again, I want a plug and play arranger. Translation: NO SEQUENCING. This unit has to be the best sounding. Please be honest in your answer and don't hold anything back. Herbi...

I don't know about authenticity, but the Schlager styles on the PA80 are pretty strong. There is not much I can do with them, but "O-Bla-Di" (Beatles) sort of works with one of them.

The best way to find out, is of course to visit
your dealer to try out the keyboards.
It's your ears, needs and taste who are the real
"Judge" at the end.
If it is only the styles who are the main issue,
I think you'll find the SD1 to be "The Winner".
They sure are good, plays very well, and besides
of that, there is a huge library of add-on styles
to choose from.
And not to forget, the SD1 is European
Kind regards
