strange how one doesn't think to try certain combinations.
Just discovered my psr1500 can be used as the style player for my soundfonts
(instead of OMB software).
Basically using the same setup I normally use for OMB ( minus omb of course)

PSR1500
Laptop
Brainspawn Forte
Live Synth Pro ( to host the soundfonts)
M Audio Soundcard with ASio Drivers to cut down my latency.

Would need to put together a soundfont bank to match the psr sound banks & drum mapping if I wanted to use the internal styles.

Basically just didn't realize it could be done.
