Ok, so I just changed my studio around. I used to work w/ just a sampling workstation, a synth module, & Cubase. Real easy setup, but now I'm moving on to other things. I just got an E-mu E6400 & was wondering how I would be able to have a keyboard controller & a phat boy exchanging midi information. I would like to be able to assign midi parameters to the phat boy for filter tweaks & what not. Forgive me for sounding stupid. I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
Could somebody give me some advise? I have 1 midi keyboard controller & also need to be able to play my proteus 2000.

So here is my puzzle:
E6400
Proteus 2000
Fatar controller
phat boy (not yet purchased)
Midi sport 2x2
additional midi 1x1 from sound card

keyboard midi out --to-- Sound card midi in *then*
E6400 midi out --to-- midi sport A in (then) midi sport A out --to-- E6400 midi in

Same w/ the proteus except port B on the midi sport

Does this sound right??
Now where does the phat boy come into play. Also is there a way to possibly assign the knobs of my Proteus 2000 to my E6400.
I still haven't set this up yet. but would like to have a game plan before I do. Any advise is much appreciated.
thanks
