Hi,
wondering if anyone knows whether the tyros2 and the psr3000 multi pads work on each others keyboards ie tyros 2 cand be loaded into a psrk3 and vice versa ?

Also wondering if mega voices are used in the multi pads of either keyboard.

thank you best wishes
Rikki

Most of the new T2 Mulitipads load but do not perform on the 3K. These are the pads using the additional Mega voices. Revoicing these does NOT answer the problem because a lot contain added (guitar) string noise effect.

THanks Graham,
wasn't sure if they even used mega voices in multipads, well, that answers that.

Yammi definately seems to be making their keyboards less compatible between the different models.

Haven't actually owned a Yammi yet with mega voices ( my last one was the pro 9k) so I haven't got a clue how the string noise works.
Do you happen to know if it's a velocity layer or is it a sound that's triggered in different octave of the keyboard?

best wishes

rikkisbears. I understand your statement about being backward compatible, but doing so does to a certain extent stem future advancement.
viewing the T2 Pads in Cakewalk show added note in the higher octave, which I suspect is string effect.
Michael Bedseems excellent free program MIDIPLAYER 11 does a good job at converting the T2 styles to T1 & 3K. It even has an option to do a folder batch conversion which provides a quick automatic conversions.

Thanks Graham,
great to see that there is a way around the problem.
I'm still trying to decide whether to wait around & get the T2 ( predictions of availabilty are not great here in Aust. unless it's already been ordered) or just get the psr3k.

Both have their pro's & cons for my requirements.

thanks again

I cannot find the instructions for batch conversion.
Could you explain how to do it?
At present I do each file individually
