Happy (Belated) Presidents Day !!!!!

Here are some quotes about the President from some famous people:

1) He is "weak, illiterate, a president without brains"

2) The early days of his presidency are filled with "painful imbecility"

3) From the Chicago Times newspaper: "The cheek of every American must tingle with shame as he reads the silly, flat and dishwatery utterances of a man who has to be pointed out to intelligent foreigners as the President of the United States."

Are they bashing George W. Bush? No, these remarks were said about Abraham Lincoln.

Quote number 1) was written in New York by Samuel B. Morse, inventor of the telegraph, about Honest Abe.

Quote number 2) was made by Edwin McMasters Stanton about Lincoln.

Quote number 3) as stated, comes from a Chicago Times description of President Abraham Lincoln.

So any "enlightened" people that wish to laugh and joke about the intelligence or lack thereof of President George "Dubya" Bush ... * good-natured grin * ... go right ahead and laugh but remember Bush is in good company with Lincoln.
