Here is a video of me playing live at a gig this week. It is typical of
what my gigs look like these days. Nothing special just a lot of fun.
Oh yes, I have been using this SX900 since they first came out and
have had ZERO issues with it. The speaker is my Bose S1-Pro which
really works great and has replaced my Bose L1-Pro.

Here is the link.

sounds great Deanne! I like your set up, and I use the same gear too, so I'll try that configuration.

I haven't done a senior venue since March of 2020, so maybe I'll start looking again. I had some good booking at those places, but the AD's and other staff are always changing, so it's like staring over, which kind of sucks. Anyways, I'm busy enough with teaching and gigging at parties and bars/restaurants so no big deal....

Nice playing and fun atmosphere, Deane. How do you compare your Bose with your old compact speaker?

Bernie

Bernie,
I have found no reason to carry my larger Bose to jobs because the
smaller one is absolutely awesome and provides sound in all directions
just like the larger one does. I have often played for very large groups using
the smaller Bose.

Thanks Deane, I presumed it had to be better in some respects. I am a little surprised it covers larger venues as well. Perhaps the naysayers are speaking of loud mega bass situations. Since we play the same sort of music, I may look into one.

Deane,
I retired last October and hadn't visited the Synthzone for a long time and getting to see you play and have all these people enjoying your music just made my day!

First met you at one of the arranger jams years ago where we swapped files from thumb drives. Since then I'm sure we both have done hundreds of gigs. But now, heart surgery put me into permanent retirement. Seeing your video was a treat and I'm happy you are still out there providing the music they love.
