Pretty darn good Terry, Maybe a tad slow tempo, and some drawn out notes. The organ sound on the E-80 sounds pretty good. Does Roland have a Leslie rotary on/off button that perhaps could be used? It could give the recording some added depth. Anyway just my observation after a quick listen. I'm no expert sequencer, just giving my honest thoughts.

Thanks for sharing, good playing. smile

Pushing up on the bend/vibrato lever engages the fast/slow function on Roland’s.

In addition, if you have an FC7, you can assign fast/slow to one of the switches. If you don’t, I think that the control pedal input (not the expression one) can also be assigned to Leslie f/s…

Thanks for the feedback lahawk, yes the E80 has a fast/slow rotary
button and as Diki points out I have it set to a footswitch.I just used
one of the standard organs from the organ section but did`nt use the
fast /slow because I was under the impression that it only worked when using the drawbars,am I wrong?

You can assign the Leslie MFX to any sound, and the standard controls will alter speed. However, most sampled B3’s already have a slow Leslie (or fast in a few cases) already sampled in. So they sound a bit weird and phasey being run through a Leslie a second time!

I’m not too sure about the E80’s soundset, I don’t remember any completely dry G70 drawbar sounds, there were a few on the SRX-07 card, and the BK-9 has a few. Those are about the only ones I liked through the MFX.

Very creative, my friend. Never would have thought to use that style, but you really made it work for you. Neat!

All the best,

Gary cool

Thanks Gary, this is an occasion where I listened to various styles,
selected one and thought what song would suit this style?
