Nobody (except maybe Russ) plays these kinds of tunes anymore; how come? I think they're neat. Trying out the latest version of REAPER and this tune just popped into my head. Didn't fix any mistakes (and there are plenty) but did multi-track it and put a dab of compression on the mix (and I use the term 'mix' loosely smile . I'll probably re-do it tomorrow.

bass - SonicCell
drums - SonicCell
Piano - Tyros II
Guitar- Tyros II
Muted trumpet - Triton classic
Organ - KeyB Duo MkIII
strings - Tyros II

BTW - my organ sounds a little bit sharp to me = I think I accidently moved the fine tune knob.

I do that tune, as well, and many others of that vintage. Good choice and nice playing.

Great job Chas. Takes me back to the 60's in Tulsa at The Rubiot, a jazz club owned by a guy named Sonny Gray. You would have loved that place. I still have an album that the house band did and sold on the premises. I probably didn't fully appreciate what I was hearing at the time. I knew about five chords and wasn't really aware of the need for any more! smile

Hey Gary, you know how much I love anything with a minor chord in it. I keep imagining DonM slow-dancing with a voluptuous (fat) woman. Of course, that's when the bloopers occur smile smile .

Man, what a cool way to start the day!

From music to participation in charity events, to sincere, if sometimes controversial (sometimes) politics, he's a class act for sure.

Love the tune and appreciate the friendship!

Chas, playing tenor in the French Quarters around New Orleans in the early 60's had to play this, Cry me a river, Body and Soul, Harlem Nocturne and many more. I would definitely enjoy working with you friend.
Very enjoyable. Bet you can't play this with less than a dozen or more chords ha ha.

Boo, that would be a ton of fun. I love all those tunes. All we need is Russ, to make sure at least SOMEone is playing the right chords smile smile. Hey, enjoy all that beautiful scenery out there in your neck of the woods.
