I'm currently looking at the pre owned market. Both of these seem to be around the £1000 mark......so two queries:

Which is "best" and would I be right in presuming this would be a good price?

Many thanks.

They are both of the same era and range, with the PA800 being a MOTL Arranger and the PA2x a TOTL Arranger.

If you have found a PA2x for £1000 ask the seller many many questions about it, as that price is low.

Remember if something seems to be too good to be true, then it probably is.

Do a search on the SZ or Korg forums and you will find quite a large number of posts on both of these boards.

Regards

Bill

Hello! I have both. If you play live for small groups and like 61 notes, the 800 cannot be beat (portability and on-board speakers). I love my 2x in my home, safe and sound (beautiful board) and use it as my studio board. You're probably aware they are both the same OS, but the 2x has many extras and is a player's dream machine.

If weight is not the issue and you have a VAN then you go with the PA2X, otherwise the PA800 is a MONSTER of a keyboard, either way you will not go wrong, the only thing is ,if the price is too good to be true and it's probably a SCAM, BEWARE!

Thanks folks - I certainly like the look of both but particularly the PA2X - I'll have a few queries though before proceeding.
