http://www.freejazzlessons.com/ A great website that provides exactly what it says, totally free video jazz lessons. Well worth checking out for keyboard tips on chord voicings and jazz playing in general.

And Steve who gives the lessons and created the website is a great musician as well as teacher. He got in touch with me because he has used Synth Zone himself over the years and wanted to let me know about it so I could help spread the word.

And it is so refreshing to see a website like freejazzlessons.com that really is about giving free jazz lessons and hasn't got a hidden commercial agenda. Steve just wants to help other musicians and is able to help players at all levels of ability. He has very impressive professional experience.

You can find out about services that Steve can provide which includes a Learn Blues Piano DVD at http://stevenixonmusic.net

Country pickers play 3 chords for 3,000 people. Jazzers play 3000 chords for 3 people. smile
O.K., I'll go check out the site anyway. I'm semi-rootless myself.

Well I am really a rock player but you know I spent a few hours at this website today working through some of Steve's lessons and I had a ball. Regardless of what style of music you play there is a lot to be learned at this website. Steve does such a great job of explaining and notating what he is playing it is very simple to pick up but the result is impressive. I learned a lot just in a few hours. I intend to go back and work through more of his lessons.

It's on my list of things to do. Never too old to learn new tricks!
Thanks,
