I've got a number of Yamaha styles that I need to find out which specific PSR/Tyros keyboard model they were created for.
I recall there being a Yamaha Utility Software which will display this information but it's slipped my mind.
Anybody know what this utility program(s) is?
Thanks in advance. smile

Wow that would be nifty! Even if they were resaved on the keyboard?

Hi

There is no information inside the style file about origin instrument.

The copyright date might be used. At least to some guidance.

I have no idea about third part styles.
- If created at a keyboard they will get a predifined copyright year - it might be editable, I dont know.
- If created in sequencer software the copyright date depends on the settings made by the developer.

Best wishes
Jørgen

Hey Scott:

I believe Joe Water's PSR site has free software for this purpose but it's been awhile. Somebody mentioned Bedesem and I believe he may be the "author" of the program. Hope I'm not leading you down the wrong path. Good luck.

If they are factory ROM styles, perhaps some old manual .pdf's might have a list?

I looked at the utilities at www.psrtutorial.com, and none of them seem to do what Scott is inquiring about.

Dave & Deane, yes, my memory as well vaguely recalls a free software was available at one time on the PSR Tutorial and/or Jorgen's site that supported display of a Yam style's keyboard source, but in addtion to Beakybird's confirmation, both Michael & Jorgen say none of 'their' programs include that specific feature.

No, these are Tyros2 era and earlier '3rd party' produced custom styles.

Fran, wow, I do now recall it might have been StyleWorks Universal that I remember displaying this info so will have to re-install it on my PC and give it a go. Thanks. smile

Wasn't that James from Irish Acts that even displayed keyboard brand? Seems like I remember something to that effect anyway.
