I am SURE I am following the directions posted by Nigel to add files to a post. I am trying to add a photo and I follow the instructions, click on Add file, the progress bar works fine, the name of the file shows above the box where it is supposed to, I click on Done adding files, it returns to the response page, and I see nothing ... does the file or its name show in the response box before I submit the response, or does it just 'magically' appear after I submit???
I use Mozilla and even tried it with Internet Explorer with the same results ... BTW ... the file is a .jpg and is 1.34MB ...
thnx

PS I know I am an IT dummy, but HTML is disabled ... UBB Code is disabled ... does that have any affect???

I've been using Image Shack, Tony, for several years with great success.

Just Browse and upload a picture, and copy then paste the "Forum Code" in your post.

You can re-size the picture as well.

I'm sure there are other hosting sites, but this one was easy to use and effective.

Hope this helps.

Ian

Tony, nice photo. I'm assuming that's your backyard? I hear there are a ton of deer roaming that area in EG, I know someone who their entire landscape eaten by a family of deer. Hope you haven't had that experience. BTW did you use your digital or your Minolta?

Ian, that's a great find I hadn't heard of imageshack.

Tony,

To make a photo magically appear in the body of a post you need to link the photo from a server / web page (not your computer)

If you notice the "Insert An Image button", after you click on it, it has the HTTP:// already started.

Summary:
You added a photo link from your computer
to the SynthZone.
You need to add a photo link from a website to the SynthZone.

Also the Preview Post before Submit will show if you succeeded
