Now that we know most of the specs for the T4.
If the additional sounds and styles are stellar as they are advertised to be (no reason to believe they are not), and if all the new hardware and software features are what they are advertised to be (no reason to believe they would not) for all those who are thinking about getting a T4, if everything were the same (maybe 2 or 3 LBS more) but it had 76 keys instead of 61, would you still buy it?

Would the extra 15 keys deter you from getting that awesome T4?

What about you none Yamaha owners who keep asking Yamaha for a 76 key arranger? If the T4 had 76 keys, would you buy it?

If it had 76 keys AND a metal cabinet with lettering that does not come off from certain persirations..I'm really put off by the PSR style build.
I would sell my PA2XPRO and buy it.

I still might at 61 IF the lower keyboard will work perfectly with it (because then I don't need 76)....we'll see

I would buy it if it had 76 keys, but I may still buy it with 61 keys. A few years ago it had to be 76 keys, but my arrangers of choice for the most part have only come with 61 keys, I've learned to adjust.

It helps to be able to play piano well before you need the extra notes. Asking an accordion player if he needs a 76 will always get you the same answer...

I'm pretty sure SOME people here would be fine with Yamaha only making arrangers in a 48 note version!

What I want to know is, why do all the 61 players think that, if an arranger comes out in a 76, that means it won't still be available in a 61, too!

Korg do both (PA2X, PA800), Ketron do both, Roland USED to do both (G70, E80)... It's not like you'll HAVE to use a 76 if you don't want to.

Just what is so wrong about CHOICE?

I would buy a 61 version if the drums were significantly changed. I really don't want to have to custom my own drums either because it wouldn't change the philosophy of the overall style (hope this makes sense)

48 notes would be great! You could play home on the range...and take less space in your Geo. :-)) :-))

I am sure that for the same reason you would not buy the T4 with 15 additional keys, there are some persons that would not by a T4 because it has an additional XLR mic input. And there are those who would not buy the T4 because it has additional flash memory.

Tyros 5 is in R&D as we speak.....don't be fooled.....what I am excited about is that Now that T4 is almost released.....it closer to the new S series release also....
and that's what I'm excited about because that's what I like to play on stage & look forward to the upgrade features thats will trickle down..... All the Tyros units I've owned always were too bulky and too much real estate for my liking as was the G1000/G70...although at home it was fine in the studio for recording...
