https://ask.audio/articles/yamaha-genos-digital-workstation-synth-image-leakedI saw this a few days ago. They are claiming that Genos is Yamaha's successor to Montage, Motif, and Tyros as a one size fits all keyboard. In less that 12 hours we will see Yamaha's official announcement of Genos. But I am wondering.........how is it possible to combine 3 different types of keyboards into one? I would imagine some would feel shortchanged if all of the features they like in their particular board aren't included in Genos. I can see an arranger keyboard adding synths and advanced music editing. I find it harder to see a synth or workstation just adding some styles to make it new.
Hopefully for me Genos will satisfy my arranger needs. I don't really compose music on my Tyros 5 but do on a PC. Maybe it could be the best of all worlds........... -charley
