It depends on what you call popular, but there definately is a niche market for it overhere in europe.. and not just on the balkan

Overhere in Holland we have a singel music shop "Will Deira" that does these conversions for most brands they have on sale..

Well it is a smart move and definitely brings in accordion players to the arranger Kb world which is a good thing.Wonder why KORG or Yamaha doesn't just produce a version also?

Market is to small... To start a full production line...

Only ketron builds these, see the new sd80 or the audya8... Vendors like Willy Deira fill the gap.. A market where everyone seems quite happy.

What countries do they play this kind of music in? And other comments about it? What instrument is he emulating? I always enjoy hearing this stuff. And these guys that play this music.....I've never heard a bad player. They're all sooooo good at what they do.

Also......I was playing around with this style to try and figure out what they're doing. Is this what it is? Just improvising on a scale? C scale would be C C# D F G G# A# (or B) C ????

This comes from the Balkan (kroatia/Bosnia), eastern europe, Romania..

I mean........these guys are really good. They make it look effortless. And great playing ideas if you listen close. Never play the same riff twice! Here's another video of the same player.

The placement of the knobbs makes fast riffs easier to play then our black and white keys..

But our black and white keys allow for much more controll over the dynamics of the sound.
