This is what I've been looking for. Arrived today and I took Hitman's advice. Muted the keyboard speakers. Next, by just hooking mono to the QSC, I went through each song (so far) and make proper eq adjustments.

But the killer dynamics of this speaker are absolutely terrific. For once, my arrangements sound like they should in a balanced mix, with beautiful separation of instruments.

The bass, mids and highs are all DISTINCT now and they really do BLOW AWAY my 800 speakers. I cannot believe how a quality and highly refined product can make such a HUGE difference! And I've been calling myself a professional

Thanks Hitman

these get rave reviews at the keyboard corner.

I'd like a pair. Not sure if I'd go with the 10" or 12".

enjoy!

Much positive feedback for these speakers on various keyboard forums.

I like to play my arranger (a meager PSR 2000) in stereo at home, but run all my keyboards in mono when playing out.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, I'm curious - do most here use mono or stereo sound when gigging?

At $700.00 each they better have a good sound..then again its what you put thru them that matters..

10/12" Depends on the bass resonse you prefer...I love a 15" myself..

As badly as some stereo samples collapse to mono on most arrangers, I prefer to remain in stereo as much as is possible. To hear a glorious piano sound become pinched and phasey when played in mono is more than I can bear!

Why do you think they make these things stereo, and even record many instruments in true stereo, if they sounded as good when in mono?

Recording studios spend a LOT of time ensuring that a track, when collapsed to mono, doesn't sound bad... Sadly, it appears many arranger manufacturers don't bother as much with this step. And none of them offer mono pianos and strings, etc. that sound as good as the stereo ones do. My Kurzweil has a fabulous stereo piano... but at least THEY took the time to create a TRUE mono keymap of one side or the other of the stereo samples to create a mono sound that was not compromised by out of phase artifacts.

Arranger manufacturers could take a leaf out of THAT book!

I've worked out a deal to send back the 10 and go with (2) 8's. I have heard the 8's at Sam Ash and they have plenty of bass punch for me. And yes, Dnj, I want to run in stereo. This should be a fantastic set up now since I know how incredible these QSC sound live.
