I have become use to the KN7000 and Tyros 2 large pop up windows and would like to use a 17’ TV with my S900.

So far it is not acceptable. It shakes and some of the displays are split –the bottom is shown on the top and the top at the bottom. The TV screen does not always display the keyboard completely, it cuts parts off. If I use the TV for lyrics without changing it works well. I would like to use the TV in the same manner as I am using he window on the keyboard.
I have tried all the very welcomed suggestions with no success. My question:
Where can I go to get the information I need to make this work properly?

Thank you, John C.

John,

You may want to check with Yamaha's Technical Service Department (714)522-9000. Ask for Steve Demming. He's the best source of information I know of for this one.

I have a couple friends that purchased 15-inch monitors and use them with the Tyros2 and they have not had any problems at all. I hooked up my PSR-3000 to a small, flat-screen TV and it worked fine with one exception--the bottom of the screen was clipped. When the 3000 was connected to a small DVD player everything displayed perfectly in both the NTSC and PAL modes.

Hope this helps,

Gary

Is there a difference between TV's and monitors ? I ask because I have a monitor that has to be set up for such, as opposed to a TV.

Bernie,

The T2 has a monitor output, while the PSR series only has a composite video output.

When using a flat-screen TV or any TV that has a video in jack, be sure to set the TV to TV1 or TV2, whichever works best. If you just leave it on the TV mode, go through the antenna and tune it to channel #3 the results are marginal at best. And, you can get interference from outside sources that also use Channel #3 as well.

Thanks Gary. I am fine, but thought this could be a possible cause of John's problems.
