Here's two very shot sound clip demos of the Yamaha NP-30's two grand pianos. They're short, but give you an idea of what they sound like. Also it's MP3 so it's not CD quality. The demos are Grand Piano 1 and Grand Piano 2. You'll notice on Grand Piano 2.., there is some slight frequency ringing on a few of the higher notes.

I just banged these demos out real fast.., didn't have too much time. I'll try to go into some good demos over the next few days if I can.

Very nice demo Squeak, for a rush job.

I'm quite impressed with the Piano 1, and a little bit less with Piano 2 which sounds a little "harder" and probably better for banging out Rock and Roll.

Thanks.

That's exactly what Piano 2 is for. It's more for Rock, or even some Pop music. It's not as polished as the Grand 1.

very nice, thanks squeak
yeah, I noticed that ringing, isn't that bad, but it's noticeable.

Take all the time you need for harpsichord if you're going to make some samples

ok, you have convinced me

I just got like 10 emails asking what the first song was. That was one of the many versions of John Legends "Ordinary People". There must be a 1000 versions of that song out.

Glad you like it Dnj. When I get home from work this evening I'll try and put some more up.

thanks a lot for the demos!
Could you please, when you have the chance, record a demo of the Electric Pianos?

Thanks!

Thanx for the demo, sounds good. Interestingly enough the 2nd song sounded better to me. Maybe the song and the notes played made a difference, but for the demo #2 get's my vote.

Maybe will sound different to me in person.

Also, makes me wonder what people are using for speakers on their computers etc. I am running mine through my Harmon/Kardon tuner receiver and 4 speaker cabinets. So, mayber it would sound different through regular computer monitors

I liked # 2 better myself.
My computer has Logitec Z2300 playing sounds.
You do play beautifully Squeak. I would like to hear more of your classical work. I played classical for my first 7 years and jazz for the next 64 years but I still like to listen to that style of classics.
Best to you and keep up the good stuff.
