I'll be traveling to the Naples Florida area soon. Anyone here gig in that area? I'd like to hook up and hear you play.

Donny, I'm happy with the T2. Some of the highlights for me are:
1.Volume control for the mic on the board, not in a virtual position
2.Hard Drive ( 60 gig)/ability to record .wav
3.Ability to display text files
4.Initial touch button along with dedicated harmony button.
5.Some selected SA voices
6.Ease of being able to easily turn on left hand hold. 3 part select in the right hand.
7.Familiarity of the Yammie OS
8. 2 USB ports

What I don't like is 61 keys, but I have adjusted better than I thought I would have to the shorter keyboard
I find myself using 40% converted G70 to Yammie styles. That CD quality sound of the T2 is not what I'm always looking for.

With all the discussion surrounding Roland boards my interest in the g70 has been sparked. For the immediate future I'll be staying with the T2. But the draw of 76 keys and the improved OS on the G70 I could be swayed me in that direction. In an ideal world a G70 and the T2

Here's a photo of it at home.

Nice set-up, Stephen. Please be careful when playing "on the road" ...you might get run over. But why the different set-up at home and on the road? Portability?

Hi Steve

Is that a z5500 you've got there? How are you liking it? I'd be interested in any comments you might have on it.

I think your idea of using what appears to be one standard speaker stand is the best idea I have seen yet. What did you use to construct the part with the satelites? Do you have any pics of that?

Best
Scott

Donny, you just never know on the G70

Taike, you got it, portability the main reason for the on the road set up. I'll be sure to watch the traffic too

Scott that is a z5500 setup. I'm very happy with the sound quality of the 55s. I pretty much use it for the longer gigs 2 plus hours. For the 1 hour gigs, I use a Barbetta 31c because faster setup and breakdown time. But I do prefer the z5500s over the Barbetta. Cleaner more hi-fidelity from the 55s.

The set up for the satellites is a modified version of what Tony Mads posted last year. I took a piece of oak wood 48 inches long by 8 inches wide and about half inch thick. I mounted the sats with wood screws. I found an External PA Speaker Mounting Bracket for 1-3/8" Speaker Stands at Sweetwater music ItemID: EB9760B it cost something like $5.97 plus shipping. I don't have any photos of the clamp but it's a simple install.
