Does anybody know where I can find the PLG100-XG tone generator plug-in board and how much it costs ?

Also, In a previous post for the S80 keyboard controller, someone mentioned GM patches that may have come on Smartmedia card with the 1st S80's shipped. I'd be eternally greatfull if I could get my hands on those files (probably external or internal voice patch files).

DanReese,

I know that Rock and Rhythm 1-888-348-5003 has it in stock and you can get at around US$190. I think this plug-in board is good if you want to play standard MIDI or XG files. However, XG sound quality cannot match the panel sounds of S80, so do not expect it to be as impressive as the original S80 sounds.

Thanks for the information on the board ! How bad are the sounds on the board ? Are the trumpets and saxes passable or are they more like a budget PC sound card ?
