ANSWER-I am currently researching how to implement all of the MIDI capabilities of the PSR530. The sys ex address and hex info in the back of the manual can be used to access many parameters that are not accessable via the front panel. I'm currently tring to find out the proper sequence of controller nos. &/or sys ex data to access the DSP (variation) portions of the PSR530. You will need a sequencer in order to access these areas. I will attempt to post my findings-

I recommend Roland MC50 MkII, but if you have a computer and the MIDI ready to playback you should conisider cheaper Yamaha SY-3, MIDI player Recorder/Playback
