CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT KEYBOARD IS BETTER YAMAHA PSR-740 OR KORK PA-80. I NEED A GENERAL OPINION BECAUSE I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL KEYBOARD PLAYER BUT WANT TO BUY THE BETTER OPTION FOR MY MONEY.

THANKS

Well, the pa80 costs $600 to $1000 more than the PSR740. I'd say it's the better keyboard. But, they both have their good points and their bad points.

Loaded question !
The PA80 has more "in depth" features, but it is definatly harder to master. Here are a few differences:
SOUND - both great
SPEAKERS - Korg is better (740 is weak)
MIC INPUT - Korg is better sound, 740 better presets (korg has NONE)
HARD DRIVE - Korg wins - 740 doesn't have one
EASE - 740 wins big time - more logical, and easy to navigate
PRICE - the 740 is only $600 these days, quite a bargain. Yamaha wins this one
SMF/SEQ - Korg wins BIG here. TWO sequencers

You'll have to weigh out what's important to you. A better buy all around is the Yamaha PSR2000 for about $1100-1200 street price.
Improved:
Speakers, vocals & Harmonies, navigation, sounds - it's a tremendous value for the money, and still looks and sounds great. Very small and lightweight too. Better give a listen before you pick one! YOu're missing the "hot hand" if you don't try one.
