I seem to get a small but noticalbe gap when I change panel memories on my K7. Is this common?
If I upgraded form V 1.4 to V 1.6 would this help?

Alan,

Invest in a Foot Controller, since buying mine I've never looked back.

In case you are wondering where to get one, check the Classic For Sale columns in the Keyboard Cavalcade, there is often one for sale in there.

I have a foot controller and used it on my K5 for 8 years in addition to 2 other pedals making 6 in all. I tested the "gapping" and it still happens when I push the panel memory buttons bypassing the foot controller. I just wondered if it was a common problem or just happens with me.

Hi Alan - do you mean absolute silence by 'gapping' or is it a part of a bar elapses before it changes following the tap of the foot that you mean cos I get the latter sometimes but never the former...?

Hi Rog,
Yes, it is part of a bar passing. It might be small but it is noticable. It is annoying really, as my K5 never did it at all. I did wonder if upgrading to V 1.6 (which I have been unable to do) would fix the problem

Aah well it's yer foot mate ain't it - yer slowing down with old age...chuckle. Seriously though I have found that timing is everything with panel memory changing and hitting that foot pedal at exactly the right moment can make all the difference.

Try holding down the Pedal a bit before the time and releasing it when needed!!! Walter.

Hi Alan,
I found that turning the equalizer to off, helped me
remove the glitch, when moving from one panel memory
to another, using the foot pedal.
Hope it might help you.

Yeah, I know I'm an old geezer, but I still like rocking! Thanks for the tip re the EQ Fred - I use it all the time. Will try it.
