Is there a way to insert song lyrics via floppy disc onto the kn6 and have them saved internally for each song you do? I have looked in the HOW TO manual and the original KN6 manual, but have not had any success. Any help here would be great!

I use MidiNotate to insert lyrics in MIDI, load into my KN7000, and save as technics. I haven't done it, but I wonder if you can take a Technics sequence, save as a MIDI on a floppy, insert lyrics on a notation program, and resave as Technics.

Bernie" Thank you for what you have suggested, but I would hope someone here in the synthzone can help us both out. Is midinotate freeware or could you get something else that does the same thing? Are you limited to this software alone for technics boards. The manual has nothing on this lyrics point.

No, it's not free, but you can download a trial version. I was merely suggesting a way of adding lyrics outside of your keyboard. I have a KN7000 and it is a real pain to try and add lyrics just using the board.

Midinotate has real accurate notation and easy lyrics.

Bernie: I did get the link to the midinotation, but my Im a little puzzled at what you mean re: you kn7. I want to be able to insert lyrics to any song I choose, so I wont have to have a lyric sheet in front of me. Can this be done? What do I actually have to do to get the lyrics on the screen for the song I am singing. IE: If I have ten songs on the sequencer, then the lyrics would pop up one set after the other when one song ends and the other begins. Can this be done? Again, the manual has no info on this at all....Im really disappointed.

First of all, the discussion I will link below, pertains to the KN7000, and I am not sure how much applies to you. However, the thread about 3/4 down relating to extracting and recopying tracks with lyrics would seem to apply.

Hope this helps
