Hi Folks.
I have a friend who is trying very hard to get a copy of "Only a rose" Nelson Eddie sang it! does anyone have top line chords and lyrics? It appears to be out of print.
can any one help please.

PHIL....If you know any of the words to "Only a Rose".....Maybe that is not the actual title & some of the words might trigger a memory?

Many years ago Nelson Eddy & Jeanette McDonald performed in San Francisco where it was my grand privelege to be a part of the audience.....

Don't know if this will help or not, but the song you request is from the operetta "The Vagabond King" by Rudolph Friml and the lyrics by Otto Harbach (I believe). I remember hearing it sung years ago by Richard Crooks, singing the song along with Kitty Carlisle, but my poor senior memory is foggy. Try a Google search and maybe you can find it if no one here has the lyrics. Good luck!
